The Koja Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit, North Jakarta has started normalizing the 225-meter water channel on Jalan Mangga, RT 01/13, Lagoa Urban Village.
Surveyor Supporting Officer (PPJ), Simon Petrus Simanjuntak said, the work carried out from Jalan Mangga until Jalan Semangka intersection included dredging and restoring the channel's width, and adding the sheet pile's height.

According to him, if it was ignored, it would cause flooding in the area, especially during high-intensity rains.
"To do it, we have deployed seven personnel to the location. It has been ongoing since July 5, 2021 and is targeted to be complete by the end of September 2021," he stated.
